To activate the system, users must scan the proprietary QR code, protected by a password, using the KolorPen wireless tablet application. This ensures that only approved liquids can activate the system.

The KolorPen management server records various product events, including the type of liquid used, signed consent forms, quantities of pigments used, and more.
